Benefits of Facials
1. Reduce Stress and Relieve Psychological Distress
facial massage activates your sympathetic nervous system. This reduces your anxiety levels and uplifts your mood (1).
There are hundreds of pressure points on your face that are connected to various systems in your body. When these pressure points are massaged, your body responds to it. A good facial massage not just keeps your skin glowing, but it also affects the functioning of the other organs. This is kind of an exercise for your face. And since it is not possible for you to know all the pressure points, you need to visit a professional to get that facial massage.
2. Cleanse Your Skin

An excellent facial will cleanse your face thoroughly, which is not possible at home. Think of it this way – you have all the medicines at home, but you still need to go for annual visits to your doctor. The facialist understands your skin type and knows what needs to be done to keep it in good shape. I uses steam to open up the pores and cleanse your skin thoroughly.
3. Prevent Aging
Admit it – you are not getting younger with each passing day. And because you have only one face, you need to take care of it properly. Regular facials and face massages boost cell regeneration and promote collagen development. This gives you younger looking skin.
4. Facial Massage Promotes Blood Circulation

A study says that massage improves the blood circulation in your body. The same applies to your face. Improved blood circulation in your face means that your cells get lots of oxygen and nutrients that are carried along with the blood. This translates to healthier and efficient cells and a glowing face.
5. Rejuvenate Your Skin
With age, your skin loses its luster. That’s natural. Your lifestyle and pollution make it difficult for your skin to recuperate. Facials can help rejuvenate the skin. The therapist or the facial expert uses various methods, products, and technology that help improve your skin texture.
6. Facials Help Detoxify The Skin
Amazing Benefits Of Facials For Your Skin - Facials Help Detoxify The Skin Save
Your skin needs to get rid of the waste that accumulates on it on a regular basis. And if this is not done correctly, it results in breakouts. That’s why a skin detox is necessary. Apart from cleansing and washing your face every day, you need facials to detoxify it. Therapists use ingredients, such as antioxidant-rich creams, sea salt, herbal extracts, and oils, to make your face fresh and radiant.
7. Treat Acne And Acne Marks
When you squeeze a pimple (or acne), you run the risk of scarring. Acne marks can be stubborn, but facials can help you in treating them. Estheticians often use products containing salicylic acid to treat acne. A study shows that salicylic acid peels help reduce acne and the resulting scars (2).
8. Eliminate Whiteheads And Blackheads

Extraction is a crucial part of the facial. A skilled person uses the extraction tool to extract all the whiteheads and blackheads without hurting your skin. This is not possible at home. Blackheads and whiteheads clog the pores and make your skin dull. So, if your skin looks a bit bumpy, it’s time to go for a facial.
9. Open Up All The Pores
It’s impossible to avoid all the pollution and damage caused by the environmental free radicals. Your skin is bombarded with UV rays and other toxic substances on a daily basis. These accumulate on its surface and clog the pores. During a facial, the professional uses steam to open up the pores and remove all dead cells, thus preventing acne and other skin issues.
10. Exfoliate Your Skin
Amazing Benefits Of Facials For Your Skin - Exfoliate Your Skin Save

Exfoliation is the process where the dead skin cells are gently sloughed off your skin’s surface. The cells die and tend to pile up on the surface (if not removed), making your skin rough and dry. While you can exfoliate your skin using a scrub at home, if you want to remove the dead skin cells properly, going for a facial is the best option. It involves using chemical peels that thoroughly clean the skin surface, revealing a healthy layer of skin beneath.
11. Tighten Your Skin
With age, your skin loses its elasticity as the production of collagen diminishes. During facial treatments, the professionals use chemical peels, face packs, masks, lotions, and creams that are enriched with botanical extracts that stimulate the production of collagen and reduce the signs of aging.
12. Eliminate Under Eye Bags And Dark Circles

The skin under your eyes needs special attention because it is way thinner than the skin on the rest of the face. And when you don’t treat it in the right manner, you get under eye bags, dark circles, and crow’s feet. The estheticians know how to treat the delicate under eye area. The eye creams used by them are specially prepared to treat the sensitive skin around your eyes and have anti-aging benefits. Many use cucumber slices during treatment for soothing your eyes. Cucumber contains vitamin K that rehydrates tired skin and eliminates dark circles and wrinkles.
13. Facial Masks Make Your Skin Soft And Glowing
The esthetician prepares a mask that’s specially designed for your skin type. It hydrates the skin and refines the skin pores. It also contains ingredients that diminish hyperpigmentation and make your skin firm.
14. Boost The Absorption Abilities Of Your Skin
This is another advantage of going for a facial regularly. It increases your skin’s ability to absorb other products effectively. You might be spending a lot of money on cosmetic products but find that they aren’t being absorbed by your skin. Why? Because your skin’s surface is so rough that they cannot permeate it properly. With regular facials, your skin becomes smooth and ready to absorb the products.
15. You Get Expert Care

Facials come along with expert opinions and advice. Before any facial treatment, the expert esthetician asks you about your skin type, issues you are facing, and what problems you want to address. They examine your skin and analyze the problem before offering a solution. They pick products and treatments that are beneficial for your skin.
16. Give You An Even Skin Tone
Worried about those dark patches on your skin? Those are nothing but melanin that gives your skin and hair their color. Aging, too much sun exposure, and hormonal changes may cause too much melanin production, resulting in dark spots. A facial evens out those dark spots, giving you a bright skin tone.
Facials have loads of benefits. Wondering how often you should get one done? It depends on a lot of factors. Let’s check them out.
How Often Do You Need Facials?
It depends on several factors such as:
Your Skin Type: If you have oily skin that’s prone to acne and breakouts, you need a facial treatment once in every two weeks (until the issues have calmed down). And in case you have combination, dry, or normal skin, once every month is fine.
The Condition of Your Skin: Do you have blackheads or dull skin? Or acne and hyperpigmentation? The frequency of your facial treatments depends on the problem you have.
Skin Care Goals: If you want beautiful and younger looking skin for a lifetime, you should start early. Follow the facial routine religiously as suggested by the esthetician. If you are someone who is concerned about the appearance of your skin, you should take facial routines seriously.
Your Budget: Your budget affects your skin care routine. Many facial treatments will cost you a bomb. If you have a tight budget, try getting a facial done once every two months.
It is always better to consult an esthetician regarding the frequency of your facial routines.
But before you start, you need to consider a few things.
Precautions To Take During Facials
Before starting any treatment, always do a patch test. This will help you understand whether the products that will be used suit your skin or not. If you have sensitive skin, you should be particularly careful about it.
Go to a trusted esthetician in salon for a facial. They know your skin type and can suggest what exactly it needs. Even if you need a simple facial treatment to freshen up your face, avoid visiting just any random salon.
Always talk to your esthetician and inform her if you have any product allergy. In case you are under medication or using any skin ointment, make sure you consult a doctor and the esthetician before applying any other product on your face.
If you are pregnant and if any particular ingredient is not suitable for you, inform the esthetician immediately.
Avoid going out in the sun just after getting a facial done. Use a sunblock cream, a hat, and an umbrella for at least a week after the facial.
Do not undergo a facial procedure if you have bruises or burns on your face. Wait for them to heal first.
Avoid using soap on your face for at least a day or two after the facial.
Facials are much more than just an hour of sheer bliss. They are a way of saying “I love you” to your skin.

Rosacea and Sensitive Skin
Sunlight and hairspray are common rosacea triggers. Other common triggers include heat, stress, alcohol, and spicy foods.
Rosacea signs and symptoms:
Flushing–when your skin turns red for a brief period of time, usually a few minutes.
Persistent redness–that looks like a sunburn or a stubborn rash.
Visible blood vessels in the skin.
Thickened skin.
Persistent round red bumps on the face.
What are the 3 types of rosacea?
Type 1 – vascular rosacea: red areas of skin on the face, sometimes small blood vessels are visible.
Type 2 – inflammatory rosacea: As well as facial redness, there are red bumps (papules) and pus-filled spots (pustules).
Type 3 – phymatous phymatids-rosacea: The skin thickens and may become bumpy, particularly on the nose.
Causes
The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it could be due to an overactive immune system, heredity, environmental factors or a combination of these. Rosacea is not caused by poor hygiene and it's not contagious.
Flare-ups might be triggered by:
Hot drinks and spicy foods
Red wine and other alcoholic beverages
Temperature extremes
Sun or wind
Emotions
Exercise
Drugs that dilate blood vessels, including some blood pressure medications
Some cosmetic, skin or hair care products
Risk factors
Anyone can develop rosacea. But you may be more likely to develop it if you:
Are female
Have skin that burns easily in the sun
Are over age 30
Smoke
Have a family history of rosacea
Most people who get rosacea are:
Between 30 and 50 years of age.
Fair-skinned, and often have blonde hair and blue eyes.
From Celtic or Scandinavian ancestry.
Likely to have someone in their family tree with rosacea or severe acne.
Likely to have had lots of acne — or acne cysts and/or nodules.
What organs are affected by rosacea?
Studies suggest that rosacea is associated with abnormalities of blood vessels (the vascular system) and the immune system.
In people with this condition, blood vessels expand (dilate) too easily, which can cause redness and flushing of the skin.
Signs and symptoms of rosacea include:
Facial blushing or flushing. Rosacea can cause a persistent blushing or flushing in the central part of your face. This sign of the condition may be difficult to see on brown and Black skin.
Visible veins. Small blood vessels of your nose and cheeks break and become visible (spider veins).
Swollen bumps. Many people with rosacea also develop pimples on their face that resemble acne. These bumps sometimes contain pus.
Burning sensation. The skin of the affected area may feel hot and tender.
Eye problems. Many people with rosacea also experience dry, irritated, swollen eyes and eyelids. This is known as ocular rosacea. In some people, the eye symptoms precede the skin symptoms.
Enlarged nose. Over time, rosacea can thicken the skin on the nose, causing the nose to appear bulbous (rhinophyma). This occurs more often in men than in women.

Hydra dermabrasion, Hydra Microdermabrasion
Hydradermabrasion is a newer method. It involves combining simultaneous dermal infusion of products and crystal-free exfoliation. The entire process stimulates collagen production and maximizes blood flow to your skin.
Side effects of microdermabrasion
Common side effects of microdermabrasion include mild tenderness, swelling, and redness. These generally go away within a few hours after treatment.
You might be advised to use a moisturizer to minimize dry and flaky skin. Minor bruising may also occur. This is mostly caused by the suction process during the treatment.
What to expect after microdermabrasion
There is little to no downtime after microdermabrasion. You should be able to resume your daily activities immediately.
Keep your skin hydrated and use gentle skin care products. Avoid using topical acne medications for at least one day after treatment. It’s extremely important to protect your skin with sunscreen. Your skin can be more sensitive to the sun in the few weeks after the treatment.
You can expect to see noticeable results immediately after the procedure. The number of microdermabrasion sessions needed will depend on the severity of your skin concerns as well as your expectations.
Your provider will likely design a plan for the initial number of sessions, as well as periodic maintenance treatments.
What is hydro dermabrasion used for?
Hydro dermabrasion is used on all skin types, and will help aging skin, skin that is congested, blemished skin, or dull and discolored skin. Oily skin can benefit to make it less greasy, and pores can be shrunk. Mild acne scars can be reduced, and fine lines can be decreased. Puffy eyes have also been treated using hydro dermabrasion. Hydra dermabrasion utilizes the natural healing powers of water and oxygen to effortlessly exfoliate the skin without the use of hard crystals or abrasive textured wands, generating deeply hydrated and healthier looking skin. The procedure integrates cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration simultaneously. It can remove skin debris, scars, blemishes, wrinkles and uneven pigmentation of the skin.
Can hydro microdermabrasion remove Blackheads?
Many do not realise this, but with hydro microdermabrasion, one can remove years of built-up skin that is on the face, which will smooth rough skin. And blackheads and whiteheads can be reduced when using the hydro microdermabrasion procedure.
Does hydro microdermabrasion help with aging skin?
Skin will be slightly pink after treatment but will subside quickly thereafter. Hydro microdermabrasion is used on all skin types, and will help aging skin, skin that is congested, blemished skin, or dull and discolored skin. Oily skin can benefit to make it less greasy, and pores can be shrunk.
How does hydro microdermabrasion work?
The water that is used can be either distilled, saline or water that has been infused with minerals and vitamins. Hydro microdermabrasion uses a diamond tipped wand to gently exfoliate the skin. This tip will suction the skin in a gentle manner, which will remove the dead skin cells.
What are the hydro microdermabrasion benefits?
Why should one pick this type of microdermabrasion? Well, this procedure has longer lasting results than the typical microdermabrasion. Water fully moisturizes the new layer of skin that is forming under the dead skin cells. This means that there will be less swelling and redness. This is the perfect treatment to do before a big event, such as a wedding, anniversary party or more!
Not convinced if hydro microdermabrasion is for you? There are many other impressive results as well. Many do not realize this, but with hydro microdermabrasion, one can remove years of built-up skin that is on the face, which will smooth rough skin. And blackheads and whiteheads can be reduced when using the hydro microdermabrasion procedure. As an added benefit, hydro microdermabrasion will allow the skin to better absorb skin care products, which will make them much more effective.
One may opt to get one treatment done, or a series of sessions can be done to create optimal results. A one-time treatment is perfect for those that want to rejuvenate the skin. More treatments will be needed for eliminating fine lines and wrinkles. It is recommended to do 6 to 10 sessions that have been scheduled 7 to 10 days apart. Prices will vary based on where the treatment is being performed on the body, and which clinic is doing the procedure. Hydro microdermabrasion can be done on the face, neck, décolleté, and the hands.
Before and after care
After hydro microdermabrasion, you will want to baby the skin with sunscreen to protect it. Use at least an SPF of 30 and try to avoid the sun’s rays if at all possible. Further protect yourself by wearing a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses.
Before having hydro microdermabrasion done, consult your professional skin therapist. Those who have been treated with isotretinoin for severe acne within the past 12 months will not be eligible for this procedure, nor will those with active skin infections, such as herpes or cold sores. Those who have a history of skin not healing properly are also not suitable for this treatment.
What is a Jet Peel?
What Is a Jet Facial Treatment?
Jet Facials jet pressure energy technology is a world-first breakthrough approach to transdermal delivery that completely solves common and problematic issues in dermatological and aesthetic treatment.
Using the Jet Facial device in conjunction with Jet Solutions, exclusive formulas designed to treat various skin issues, the jet streams contain nutritive micro-droplets that travel below the skin surface and act on the subdermal layers to provide visible results and relief!
A Jet Peel facial is a noninvasive treatment that infuses skin with a customized blend of serums. It fuses oxygen with liquids—water, anesthetic, and nutrients—delivered deep into the dermis through a high-pressure aerosol stream, at a velocity of 600 feet per second. Jet Peel penetrates the skin without actual contact, allowing the subdermal layer to absorb the nutrients being blasted at it.
Different serums address a variety of concerns, but Jet Peel is commonly used to exfoliate and hydrate. It can target acne and sun damage and extract dirt and product buildup from pores. It can even act as a delivery system for anesthesia.
What are the pros and cons of Jet Peel?
Pros
Jet Peel delivers immediate results, with no downtime.
It’s noninvasive and fully customizable, depending on your skin concerns and goals.
The treatment is safe for all skin types and tones.
Cons
The results of Jet Peel are only temporary, so you'll have to continue getting monthly treatments to see ongoing benefits.
Jet Peel does not result in any actual peeling, so if you’re looking to shed a layer of skin, consider a chemical peel or laser resurfacing.
Jet Peel can be slightly uncomfortable.
What happens during a Jet Peel facial?
Your provider starts by cleansing the skin, using a pressure wash of water and oxygen. The next step will be extractions or microdermabrasion, depending on your provider’s preference and your skin’s needs.
Finally, you’ll choose the liquid for your Jet Peel from a list of vitamins and medicines. You might choose a hyaluronic, salicylic, or glycolic acid, to address signs of aging; vitamin C, for brightening; or vitamin B, to reduce rosacea. Your provider will use a pen-like device to spray the oxygen-and-liquid blend onto your face. It doesn’t hurt, but the air can feel sharp or cold. From start to finish, the whole process takes only a few minutes.
Avoid washing your skin or putting on any makeup for at least six hours afterward so that the nutrients can really seep into the dermis.
There are no serious side effects of Jet Peel, but since it uses such high pressure, you might notice redness or irritation following the treatment. Both should subside within a few hours. Despite its name, the facial doesn’t actually result in any peeling; if you select glycolic acid or a similar liquid, you might notice some shedding in the days following, but that’s really it.
How does Jet Peel compare to microdermabrasion or HydraFacial?
Both Jet Peel and microdermabrasion can remove impurities, and the two can be used together. But they have a few major differences. Microdermabrasion uses fine crystals and suction to exfoliate, removing blackheads and dead skin along the way. Jet Peel exfoliates much more gently, cleansing and hydrating the skin. Additionally, microdermabrasion is not recommended for anyone with sensitive skin, rosacea, or acne. Jet Peel is suitable for all skin types.
HydraFacial also delivers nutrients to the skin, but like microdermabrasion, it uses the power of suction to remove impurities. It focuses on exfoliation first and infusion second. Jet Peel, on the other hand, removes debris while pushing nutrients deep into the dermis.
How soon will you see Jet Peel results, and how long do they last?
There’s no downtime after a Jet Peel, and you should see a healthier glow in just one day.
However, the benefits are temporary: they only last up to a month. Providers on RealSelf recommended that you start with a series of treatments, once a week for four to six weeks, and return for monthly maintenance treatments after that.
Treatment
The Jet Facial jet pressure energy device generates pressurized air, which is accelerated in order to manipulate liquid into fine misty jet streams. These jet streams, travelling at subsonic speed of over 200 m/s, are applied to the skin surface with the patented Jet Facial handpiece, a wand-like instrument available in a range of sizes and configurations for specific treatments and conditions. As it travels over the skin, the handpiece generates continuous fine liquid jet streams that provide a Lymphatic Massage followed by exfoliation of the epidermal layer, and then gently stretch the skin surface for the infusion of specially suited liquid solution. With no needles, and without any pain, discomfort or skin breakage, the jet streams open up microchannels that provide a direct path to the deeper skin layers..

Galvanic Treatments
😊
Desincrustation: In this process, galvanic current is used to soften and emulsify the keratin and sebum contained in your hair follicles. It is a way to prepare your skin for safe and painless removal of comedones. A manual extraction follows this procedure. This is meant for deep cleansing your skin and softening it at the same time.
Galvanic facial is suitable for all skin types (including sensitive skin). This specialized skin treatment has many benefits.
What Are The Benefits Of Galvanic Facial?
-
1. Reduces Dullness And Makes Skin Glow
-
Dullness is one of the main signs of aging. A galvanic facial removes all the impurities from your skin and improves the concentration of oxygen in it. This deep cleansing technique makes your skin glow.
-
2. Minimizes Fine Lines And Wrinkles
-
Age and constant exposure to the sun and dust can take a toll on your skin. You won’t even notice the fine lines and wrinkles beginning to creep up on your face. Treating yourself to a galvanic facial once in a while rejuvenates your skin, restores the balance, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and tightens your skin. It is also beneficial in preventing premature signs of aging.
-
3. Improves The Elasticity Of Your Skin
-
When you are stressed, it is evident on your face. No, I am not talking about frowning and squinting. I’m talking about the effect of stress on your skin. Coupled with lack of proper care and other external factors, your skin tends to lose elasticity and sag. The galvanic current that is passed through your skin during the treatment helps in tightening it. This revives your aging skin and makes it firm again.
-
4. Detoxifies Your Skin
-
You can’t deny the fact that your skin feels great and relaxed after every facial session. But, apart from the relaxation, a galvanic facial has something more to offer than conventional facials. The electric currents enable lymph drainage and stimulate your skin. This improves your skin’s natural ability to cleanse itself of harmful toxins. Moreover, the facial draws out toxins from deep within your skin, making your face look brighter and healthier.
-
5. Boosts Blood Circulation And Oxygen Levels In The Skin
-
A galvanic facial boosts the production of fresh skin cells and collagen. As a result, the new cells replace the older ones much faster. It also stimulates the flow of blood to the surface of your skin, which, in turn, increases oxygen supply to your face. Oxygen makes your skin feel fresher and tighter and supports moisture retention.
-
6. Helps In Preventing Acne
-
The galvanic facial, especially the desincrustation process, targets the hair follicles and clogged pores. It extracts all the impurities stuck in your skin pores, leaving them clean. This helps in reducing and preventing acne.
-
7. Improves Complexion
-
I am not saying that this treatment will make you fair. Don’t carry that notion. When your skin is thoroughly cleansed, it looks clear and bright. That’s because harmful toxins are eliminated from your skin. The negative ions in the current trap all the impurities, toxins, and dirt. This, in turn, gives you a clearer and brighter complexion.
-
8. Thoroughly Moisturizes Your Skin
-
Worried that your moisturizing face cream is not working properly? The fact is that the product does not penetrate the layers of your skin. Moreover, your skin may not be able to retain moisture. A galvanic facial helps resolve this issue by removing dead skin cells and promoting cell regeneration. This revitalizes your skin, making it more elastic and increasing its moisture retention.
-
9. Better Product Penetration

Galvanic current contains negative ions, and the treatment gel (containing anti-aging and other ingredients) that is applied to your skin contains positive ions. The current pushes the products deeper into your skin. The products work hard in neutralizing the toxins and harmful free radicals in your skin. The deep tissues and cells within your skin layer are where the products work best.

10. Calms And Soothes Your Skin
-
Not only does aging turn your skin into a canvas of fine lines, age spots, and wrinkles, it also makes it rough to touch. A galvanic facial eases the facial tissues and muscles that get stiff with aging. When the muscles and tissues are relaxed, more blood and oxygen are carried to the skin cells. The pH balance of the skin is also restored, making it soft and smooth.
-
Sounds promising, isn’t it? But before you rush to book your appointment, there are some more things you need to know. Not everyone can opt for a galvanic facial. Why? It’s because certain factors make you a weak candidate for this facial.
-
Galvanic Facial: Who Is Not Suitable For This Treatment?
-
Do not go for this treatment if you:
-
Have a pacemaker
-
Are diagnosed with a heart condition
-
Suffer from epilepsy or high blood pressure
-
Have cuts, wounds, and abrasions on your skin
-
Are pregnant
-
Are diabetic
-
Have metal implants in your body
-
Have spider veins
-
Are on skin thinning medication
-
Recently underwent chemical peeling
I understand that the very thought of passing electricity through your skin sounds scary. But are there any side effects of this treatment? Is galvanic facial safe?
*Side Effects Of Galvanic Facial*
Galvanic current has been widely used for treating face paralysis and Bell’s Palsy, so it is considered to be a safe treatment. Nevertheless, one study evaluating the effect of electrical stimulation on human skin mentions that a few of the participants experienced an “unpleasant feeling.” Some of them also felt mild pain (1).
Again, the level of sensitivity to stimuli differs from person to person. Some may have a high pain tolerance, while others may be extremely sensitive to even mild stimuli. So, it depends on you and the condition of your body.
If you have metallic dental fillings, crowns, and metal braces, be careful. People with these dental fixtures may experience a metallic taste in their mouth during the procedure. Having metal inside the mouth may even give you a galvanic shock, which may trigger a mild headache or give you a tingling feeling. But, with a few precautions, you can go for this procedure.
[ 5 Amazing Beauty Benefits Of Galvanic Facial ]
1. Makes Your Skin Super Radiant
This facial removes all impurities from the epidermis (top layer of the skin), boosting the oxygen content. It also removes the dead cells from the top layer, opens up clogged pores, and brings out that natural blush on your cheeks.
2. Heals Acne
Acne is formed when the skin cells are clogged, trapping dirt and oils in them, causing the pores to get enlarged. The oxygen facial helps in shrinking the pores and doesn’t let your skin accumulate dust and dirt. As a result, it remains glowing for longer, and you won’t get annoying pimples, zits, and acne.
3. Fast Recovery Time
Usually, in the case of other procedures and skin treatments, you have to wait for a specific period before you can go back to your regular skin care regimen. But in the case of the oxygen facial, there isn’t any particular recovery time. You can start applying creams, lotions, or makeup to your skin almost immediately.
4. Results Are Instant
You will notice immediate results after the oxygen facial. The benefits of oxygen facial includes healing issues such as acne, wrinkles, and blemishes and it makes your skin younger-looking and glowing.
5. Treats Uneven Skin Tone
The serum used for oxygen facial is rich in hyaluronic acid, peptides, vitamins, and botanical extracts that treat uneven skin tone and make your face look bright.
Ultrasonic Facial Treatment for Aging Skin
How Does It Work?
The application of ultrasonic frequency is commonly used by salon professionals to increase cellular turnover, plump up and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, tighten sagging skin, relieve puffy eyes, reduce the appearance of cellulite, improve acne, tighten enlarged pores, fade dark eye circles, freckles and old age spots and even repair scar damage. The process is safe, painless and gentle and is can even be used by sensitive skin types such as those with Rosacea.
The sound waves produced by the ultrasound facial machine resonate well above our hearing level and move too quickly for our nerve endings to register. The intensive rejuvenating cyclic sound waves penetrate below the skin reaching the dermis and will not cause the user any discomfort or unusual side effects.
Some ultrasonic devices and machines offer the convenience of different treatment modes. Generally, the lower the ultrasonic frequency rate setting, the deeper the sound waves will penetrate below the skin. Thus, the 1MHz mode is designed for general body treatment where tissues and muscles are thicker. The 3MHz mode is designed for general facial treatment where tissues and muscles are much thinner. The 5Mhz mode is appropriate for treatment around the most delicate area - the eyes.
Treatment Area:
Facial Area (Cheeks, Forehead, Chin)
Delicate Eye Area
In order to optimize the penetration of the cyclical sound waves produced by the ultrasonic facial massager, a conductive gel must be used. Besides encouraging improved conductivity, the gel also penetrates deep into the skin. As such, many estheticians use quality optimized gels that contain skin-firming ingredients such as Dermalogica Conductive Facial Gel.
When ultrasound enters the body it reacts in various ways. It is absorbed by muscle, tendons and bone. Harder surfaces like bone will absorb and reflect ultrasound energy. All of these play a role in the eventual total temperature rise in the surrounding tissue. This in turn dramatically increases needed oxygen to the cells and aids in the removal of waste products. This antibacterial cleansing action also helps prevent the onset of acne and blemishes and the skin is left feeling instantly energized, rosy, firm, refreshed and noticeably softer - even after just one application!
How the Ultrasonic Facial Works
In a treatment, the ultrasonic machine’s high-frequency waves work to:
Exfoliate dead skin cells for clear and radiant skin without the redness and irritation that can sometimes result from Microdermabrasion or AHA peels.
Loosen and remove oil, dirt and sebum from the pores and hair follicles, resulting in less blackheads and breakouts. Ultrasonic frequency zaps bacteria and decongests the pores. The result? Clear, healthy skin with noticeably tighter pores.
Gently stimulates skin to encourage collagen and elastin production. With a series of treatments, fine lines and wrinkles are less noticeable and skin color, tone and texture becomes more even and uniform.
Stimulates blood flow and lymphatic drainage through the combination of ultrasound and electrical therapy. This nourishes the skin and gives it a youthful rosy glow.
Facilitates hydration and plumps the skin, thereby filling out fine lines and wrinkles.
Helps skincare products do their job by penetrating deeper into the skin. This is especially true for anti-aging and antioxidant serums, creams, and masks. Unless an active product is pushed deep into the lower levels of the epidermis, it won’t have a lasting, anti-aging impact on the skin.
What Are The Benefits Of Ultrasonic Facial Treatment?
Ultrasonic facials offer a safe and gentle alternative to dramatic plastic surgery procedures, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, Collagen and Botox injections and other invasive skin rejuvenation treatments.
Results can vary by individual and skin type, are gradual, and will not just occur over night. Although Ultrasonic treatment has been shown to produce an immediate and temporary firming effect, continued daily application will provide more cumulative long-term, lasting results.

What Is Microcurrent Facial Treatment? NuFace Microcurrent Facial
How Microcurrent Facials Work? The microcurrent facial is a therapeutic treatment that delivers safe, painless, low-level electrical impulses to strategic locations under the skin to firm and tone the facial muscles on both an immediate and long-term basis. The technology simultaneously repairs collagen in the dermis (the deepest layer of the skin), while gently erasing signs of aging in the epidermis (the top layer of skin). As we age, our electrical impulses slow down causing aging and sagging facial skin. Microcurrent technology works in harmony with the natural bio-electrical currents naturally found in our bodies to help speed up the cellular regenerative process resulting in firmer, healthier, more youthful looking skin.
Microcurrent facial devices are used to help re-educate the underlying muscles, giving better tone to the face. The result is a firmer facial tone, diminished lines and overall improvement in texture. Microcurrent Facial Toning Systems.
Based on the successful principles of the Micro-Dermal Tone Technique, NuFACE is the only hand-held microcurrent facial device approved by the FDA facial toning treatment. It produces a low level of alternating electrical current emitted through dual spherical probes in which the user glides along the contour of the face.
NuFACE Trinity is the newest edition in NuFACE's line microcurrent facial systems. It offers the same microcurrent technology treatment as the NuFACE Classic system in addition to the ability to purchase additional interachangeable treatment heads such as the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Remover - an optional photofacial light therapy attachment that can be purchased separately. The Trinity also offers the benefit of a charging cradle whereas the NuFACE Classic device takes batteries. Both systems are excellent and produce measurable results.
Considering that the average cost of ONE professional microcurrent facial toning treatment can run around $155 with a series of sessions recommend several times a year, the above devices will pay for themselves after only a few treatments.
Remember: "True" microcurrent uses less than 500 microamperes (Ua). Only true, quality, professional-grade microcurrent facial toning devices such as NuFace® use up to 500 microamps for optimal effectiveness and should never cause an actual "visual" contraction of the facial muscle.
How Does The Microcurrent Facial Work?
The microcurrent facial involves the application of low-level, waveform-shaped electrical impulses through dual tipped probes in combination with a water-based conductive gel. When applied to the skin, the gentle electrical current rehabilitates the underlying muscles and improves circulation, texture, tone, and fine lines. Regular use of microcurrent will continue to provide muscle strength and restore freshness to the appearance. The technology works internally on the muscle fiber and tissue for visible, external results – it's like taking your face to the gym! Microcurrent used for the purpose of skin rejuvenation differs from Electro-Muscle Stimulation (E.M.S.) which is a medical procedure utilizing a very strong current to force repeated muscular contraction and expansion.
What Are The Benefits Of A Microcurrent NuFace Facial?
Microcurrent facials deliver a variety of benefits to patients who wish to maintain a more youthful looking appearance and is an extremely safe and gentle non-invasive alternative to dramatic plastic surgery procedures, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, Collagen and Botox injections and other invasive treatments. The results can vary by individual and skin type, are gradual, and will not just "happen" over night. The Benefits of Red-Light Therapy for Skin Rejuvenation
How Does Photofacial Treatment Work?
Red light treatment is a very gentle, non-invasive procedure, that only treats the needed areas while leaving the surrounding tissues unharmed. LED's signal the body to naturally convert light energy into cell energy without causing undue damage or discomfort.
Specific wavelengths stimulate specific responses in the body. Red wavelengths and certain infrared (non-visible) wavelengths increase cellular activity at the dermal level by targeting underlying hemoglobin. Cellular activity and energy levels fall as we age. With the delivery of the correct wavelengths of LED light, these dermal cells receive a rejuvenating, anti-aging boost from the light energy. This safe, painless, natural healing process converts light energy within skin cells, very similar to the way photosynthesis takes sunlight and turns it into food energy in plants.
The thermal (heat) activity generated by LED's enhance blood circulation, helping to delivery nutrients and cellular growth factors to the treated areas. Red and infrared light stimulate fibroblast and collagen production to strengthen sagging skin and wrinkles. These favorable cellular and metabolic effects can also remove age spots and dark pigmentation, repair broken capillaries, reduce inflammation, and leave your skin soft, smoothed, refreshed and healthy looking. Photo facial treatment also promotes faster healing of inflammatory acne, rosacea and areas of redness, with less post-surgical or post trauma scarring.
Red light facial treatment is safe for all skin types and ages, there is no down time or recovery time, and it is quickly becoming recognized by the skin care industry as one of the most effective and gentle ways to help rejuvenate and repair the skin.
The Difference Between Red Light Therapy and IPL
The light produced by the LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) interacts with the body's own natural processes to stimulate collagen and elastin production (the proteins responsible for building the skin's strength and elasticity) in the cells and counteract the effects of aging. LEDs have been proven to safely and effectively penetrate the skin to encourage skin rejuvenation and do not cause downtime or discomfort. In fact, photo facial treatment is the new therapeutic approach to skin renewal that also promotes a sense of well-being and relaxation!
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and high-powered laser are medical procedures that work by causing thermal damage to the skin and/or underlying tissue. These potentially dangerous and extremely costly procedures are performed only by trained medical professionals and can often result in extended downtime and discomfort.
The Benefits of Red-Light Therapy for the Skin
Red light facial treatment is an extremely safe and gentle non-invasive alternative to dramatic plastic surgery procedures, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, Collagen and Botox injections and other invasive treatments. The results can vary by individual and skin type, are gradual, and will not just occur over night. Although red light treatment has been known to produce an immediate and temporary rejuvenating effect, continued daily application will provide more cumulative long-term, lasting results.

Is Red Light Facial Treatment Safe?
Unlike some pulsed laser treatments, red light therapy is non-invasive, non-abrasive, does not cause skin inflammation and does not require any special post treatment procedures. LED technology is used throughout the world and its effectiveness and proven safety record is backed by numerous clinical studies. Although there are no reported studies which conclude that red LEDs are unsafe to look at, it is recommended that protective goggles be used during treatments for precautionary reasons. If you accidentally look at the LEDs, no harm will be done but never stare into the direct line of light for extended intervals of time. Red light treatment is considered a safe, easy and gentle skin rejuvenation technology however the following precautions should always be taken:
-
Do not use if pregnant, epileptic or taking cortisone or steroid injections.
-
Do not use on open sores, wounds or infected areas.
-
Avoid using AHA or Glycolic Acid products.
-
Avoid staring directly at LED's during treatment for extended periods of time.
How Red LEDs Can Make Your Skin Look Years Younger
Red light therapy device It's not easy to keep skin looking young and fresh. Those long days in the sun can create dark areas and premature wrinkles, and poor dietary habits can dehydrate your skin. Even your skin care treatments may be doing more harm than help. Harsh cleansers can strip skin and leave it vulnerable to sun damage, and patients with darker skin tones may lose pigment during laser surgery, according to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgical Treatment.
Fighting the advancement of time on your skin with endless creams and procedures may seem like an impossible uphill battle, but you may just be using the wrong weapons. Red light therapy might be just the thing you need to keep your skin looking young and vibrant.
What is Red Light Therapy?
Red light therapy devices use gentle red LEDs ("Light Emitting Diodes") to reduce visible signs of aging and improve skin texture. Red light therapy products are also often used to medically treat skin disorders like psoriasis, acne, eczema, and even neonatal jaundice. Many salons and skin care professionals use LED red light therapy devices, and consumers can take advantage of the convenience of effective in-home treatments as well.
How Does Red Light Therapy Work?
The LEDs in red light therapy devices stimulate deep cellular regeneration and research has shown that they have the ability to grown skin cells by an overwhelming 150-200% when exposed to certain wavelengths of red light. Treatments are gentle and non-invasive, and only take about 20 minutes every few days. The frequency of the light sends signals to the body to convert light energy into cell energy, which enhances circulation and stimulates collagen production.
What Can Red Light Therapy Treat?
Red light improves the look and feel of aging skin in a variety of ways. It can heal redness and inflammation associated with sensitive skin and acne, and it also improves the skin's texture and tone. The production of collagen minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, large pores and crow's feet. The treatment even fades bruising and lightens age spots.
You still need patience and persistence to succeed with red light therapy, but the time commitment is well worth it to keep your skin youthful and glowing as the years march on.
What is premature ageing?
Anti-Ageing is a funny term because getting older is inevitable, with every cell in our body programmed to eventually die, the rate at which we age is far more in our control than what you may think.
Premature ageing refers to an accelerated ageing process, where our cells have aged faster than chronologically programmed due to external factors i.e., our skin has aged prematurely.
By understanding what causes the skin to age, you are able to provide a ‘better-ageing’ environment for your skin.
When it comes to premature ageing, most people think of lines & wrinkles, however there are many factors that affect our youthful appearance such as loss of firmness, loss of elasticity, uneven skin tone, lack of radiance, loss of volume and a lack of hydration.
Whilst some anti-ageing creams promise to treat lines & wrinkles, this is generally a temporary effect of increased hydration in the skin. For a truly “anti-ageing” treatment you must take a holistic approach and address all of factors that causing you to age prematurely.
What causes premature ageing?
There are many factors that cause us to age prematurely, however, to understand what exactly, we must first understand there are two different types of ageing, Intrinsic and Extrinsic Ageing.
Intrinsic Ageing – is the natural ageing process, the rate at which is determined by our genetic coding or DNA and of which we have no control over. Intrinsic Ageing starts in our mid 20’s and is determined by which the rate of new collagen production and cellular turnover begins to slow down.
Our skin is in a constant state of renewal, with collagen being broken down and rebuilt all the time. As we age the old collagen is broken down faster than the new collagen is being produced. Fortunately, the results are not visible in the skin until decades later.
Extrinsic Ageing – refers to external factors that contribute to and accelerate the ageing process. In other words, environmental and lifestyle choices that are literally robbing us of our youth!
-
UV Radiation
-
Either from the sun and tanning beds. UV Exposure is the number one cause of accelerated ageing. Firstly, by increasing Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMP), the enzyme responsible for collagen degradation and depleting Vitamin C levels in the skin, so impairs new collagen production. Excessive sun exposure and UV radiation also affects melanocytes activity and can cause hyperpigmentation. This type of extrinsic ageing is referred to as ‘Photo-Ageing’, with the damage left behind referred to as ‘Photo-Damage.
-
Smoking
-
Restricts vascularity (blood flow) and therefore limits the oxygen and nutrient supply to the cells. Also, oxides Vitamin C levels in the skin, having a detrimental effect on collagen production and healing.
-
Stress
-
Whilst a little bit of stress is harmless, chronic long-term stress is seriously damaging to our health and accelerates the ageing process. Cortisol, a hormone produced in response to stress, increases chronic inflammation in the body (again promoting “inflammageing“) and excessive exposure to Cortisol over long periods of time causes brain cells (neurons) to die. A lack of sleep also contributes to excessive Cortisol.
-
Nutrient Different Diet
The ageing effects from a poor diet are two-fold. Firstly, by eating a pro-inflammatory diet, you are contributing to chronic inflammation within the body, which leads to “inflammageing“. Sugar is one of the main culprits and causes an ageing process called “glycation”.
Secondly, by not giving your body the nutrients it needs, it is unable to regenerate efficiently or fight infection adequately. Diets lacking in Vitamin C, Iron and Omega-3 essential fatty acids will impair the skins' ability to regenerate effectively.
Dry Skin
Despite many people perceiving themselves to have dry skin, it’s not actually as common a skin type as you may believe. In order to understand the best way in treating dry skin, let’s first take a look at what dry skin means and what can cause it.
What is Dry Skin?
When you think of ‘Dry Skin’ you may refer to a skin that feels tight, uncomfortable and flaking in appearance. However, these are symptoms of dry skin. True dry skin as an actual skin type refers to a ‘Lipid Dry Skin’.
Our skin produces two forms of lipids or fats. Most commonly known is sebum, which is produced by the sebaceous glands attached to follicles in the skin. The sebaceous glands in naturally dry skin (alipidic skin) are unable to produce enough (or any) sebum / oil to naturally moisturize the surface of the skin. This also forms an integral part of the skin chemical barrier function. Maintaining its pH and protecting the skin from micro-organisms.
Less commonly known are the epidermal lipids, produced by the Lamellar Bodies which reside within the Stratum Granulosum (mid-epidermis). The epidermal lipids fill in the extra cellular spaces, forming a cement between epidermal skin cells known as keratinocytes. Similar to a brick (cells) and mortar (epidermal lipids) like structure, forming the resilient physical barrier function.
A true lipid dry skin is lacking in sebum and epidermal lipids. Therefore, their natural barrier function (both chemical and physical) is compromised and not as resilient as their oilier counterparts.
What Causes Dry Skin?
There are 3 main causes of dry skin;
1.Genetics – Inheriting a lipid dry skin disorder from either one or both parents
2.Intrinsic ageing – Sebaceous gland activity naturally decreases as we age, producing less oil
3. Low-fat diets – Not eating enough essential fatty acids in your diet to produce the lipids
Some medications can also cause the skin to become dry, so it’s best to check with your GP in this instance.
What is Acne?
Acne Vulgaris is a disease of the sebaceous (oil producing) gland which is a very common skin condition that affects as much as 85% of the population at some point in their lives.
Once thought of as an adolescent condition due to the increase in the androgen hormone, testosterone around the time of puberty. However, the cases of adult-acne are on the increase and is even more prominent in Western diet/culture.
Acne is commonly characterized by the presence of spots/pimples The type of spots can range from comedones (blackheads & whiteheads), to inflamed lesions such as papules (no pus) or pustules (containing pus) and nodules (cysts). Inflamed acne is more severe and can lead to scarring due to the depth of the lesion.
Although acne is not dangerous it can lead to long-term scaring and facial disfigurement, as well as social and psychological effects.
What causes acne?
Acne is a genetic condition; however, it doesn’t mean you are a slave to your genetics! There are multiple factors that combine in the formation of this condition including inflammation, hormones, dead skin cells, excess sebum and bacteria. Of which we have more control than you’d think.
Many acne treatments are unsuccessful because they focus only on a single symptom like the bacteria for example, rather than targeting all of the contributing factors. To be successful in the treatment of acne it’s important to understand the acne lesion lifecycle and key factors that trigger the chain of events.
The lifecycle of an acne lesion begins with an increase in the androgen hormone testosterone, which can occur around the time of puberty, pregnancy, menopause and / or periods of long-term stress. This increase in testosterone levels can stimulate 5-alpha reductase enzyme, which metabolises testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce excess sebum (oil).
The presence of 5-alpha-reductase enzyme also causes the excess sebum to become ‘sticky’ in texture and it mixes with corneocytes (dead skin cells) to form a blockage known as microcomedo or plug. As the skin continues to shed dead cells and produce more sebum, this blockage causes a buildup, and the plug develops into a comedone (blackhead or whitehead).
If this blockage is not cleared the lifecycle continues. Propionibacterium acnes (the P.acne bacteria), is anaerobic, meaning it thrives in an oxygen-free environment. The P.acne bacterium also uses sebum as its main food source. Therefore, with an abundance of excess sebum and oxygen unable to enter the pore freely, it’s the perfect environment for the bacteria to multiple.
P.acne bacteria release an enzyme called lipase to help digest the sebum into free fatty acids that irritate the lining of the follicle. This results in an inflammatory response and an inflamed lesion known as a ‘papule’ is formed.
As the cycle continues your skins autoimmune system attempts to fight the bacterial infection with white blood cells, that transition from the blood to the skin and surround the infection. This is known as ‘pus’ and the formation of a ‘pustule’.
If the inflammation is allowed to spread to the deeper layers of tissue, then a large painful pus-filled lesion known as a Nodule is formed.
Controlling the inflammation is key to both prevention and treatment.
Different types of acne.
There are commonly 4 grades used to categorise the severity of acne:
-
Grade I - Comedonal Acne
-
The presence on non-inflammatory lesions including closed comedones (whiteheads) and open comedones (blackheads) plus the occasional papule or pustule.
-
Grade II - Mild Acne Vulgaris
-
The presence of open and closed comedones plus multiple inflamed papules and pustules.
-
Grade III - Moderate Acne Vulgaris
-
The presence of open and closed comedones plus large numbers of inflamed papules and pustules plus the occasional nodule.

Grade IV Severe Acne Vulgaris
The presence of large number of open and closed comedones, papules, pustules and nodules. Skin appears highly inflamed. This is sometimes referred to as Cystic Acne
Acne Treatment & Acne Scaring Treatment
Pillars to Skin Health” philosophy, the initial step in any acne treatment is an in-depth skin health consultation to identify the possible causes of acne, before a treatment plan can be designed to correct the condition and provide the tools needed to ensure that it does not return.
Whilst acne is considered a genetic condition, it doesn’t mean you’re a slave to your genetics! By following an “Anti-Acne Diet” you are able to regulate hormone production and dramatically reduce the amount of chronic inflammation the skin is exposed to and aid its renewal and healing process from within. Combined with various treatments ranging from LED Blue Light Therapy for Acne to metabolic facial peels or Skin Pen Micro-Needling to address the scaring.
Depending on the type of acne you have and the causes behind it, the treatment approach will vary. Typically, a treatment series will consist of corrective facials to repair barrier function or where appropriate Metabolic Peels such as the CosMedix Purity Peels (the amount needed would depend on the grade of acne). Using a combination of Salicylic Acid, L-Lactic and encapsulated Retinol AGP complex, plus Willowherb and Zinc for anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. These chirally correct peels treat multiple aspects of the condition including the inflammation, bacteria, congested pores and excess sebum. An advanced home care regime plus diet/nutrition advice is also recommended to follow in-between treatments to ensure the maximum results. This would be discussed as part of your aftercare.
LED Blue Light Therapy is also an excellent treatment for acne and acne prone skins. It is non-invasive and effective form of treatment on its own OR can be used in conjunction with other treatments such as the Purity Peel. Blue light therapy is an excellent acne treatment because it has an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. Helping to reduce two of the major causes of acne.
Micro needling is also a very effective treatment for acne scarring because it increases collagen production in the skin. For best results, micro needling can be used alongside metabolic peels as part of an overall treatment process to address any active acne, prior to treating the scaring.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a method of resurfacing our skin using fine crystals to provide effective exfoliation and rejuvenation of the superficial layers of the skin. It will increase blood supply and provides nutrients necessary for regeneration, repair and cellular turnover as it stimulate collagen and elastin production improving the skins fine lines elasticity, texture, pore size, as well as lighten hyper pigmentation.
The beauty industry has nick named the microdermabrasion treatment, “The Lunchtime Facelift” you can be in and out of our day spa in 30 minutes to an hour depending on the condition of your skin. The results speak for themselves, but this treatment is quick, and you will look and feel refreshed after your first visit.
What Is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions.
The procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin to rejuvenate it.
A different microdermabrasion technique sprays fine particles of aluminum oxide or sodium bicarbonate with a vacuum/suction to accomplish the same outcome as the abrasive surface.
Microdermabrasion is considered a safe procedure for most skin types and colors. People might choose to get the procedure if they have the following skin concerns:
-
fine lines and wrinkles
-
hyperpigmentation, age spots and brown spots
-
enlarged pores and blackheads.
-
acne and acne scars
-
stretch marks.
-
dull-looking skin complexion.
-
uneven skin tone and texture
-
melasma
-
sun damage
Preparing for microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a nonsurgical, minimally invasive procedure. There’s very little you need to do to prepare for it.
It a good idea to discuss your skin concerns with a skin care professional to find out if microdermabrasion is the right fit for you. Discuss any past cosmetic procedures and surgeries, as well as allergies and medical conditions.
You may be told to avoid sun exposure, tanning creams, and waxing for about a week before treatment. You may also be advised to stop using exfoliating creams and masks approximately three days prior to treatment.
Remove any makeup and cleanse your face before the procedure begins.
How does microdermabrasion work?
Microdermabrasion is an in-office procedure that usually takes about one hour. It’s typically performed by a licensed skincare professional, who may or may not be under the supervision of a healthcare provider. This depends on what state you live in.
It’s not necessary to use anesthesia or a numbing agent for microdermabrasion.
During your appointment, you’ll be seated in a chair. I will use a handheld device to gently spray on the particles or sand away the outer layer of skin in the targeted areas. At the end of the treatment, a moisturizer as well as sunscreen will be applied to your skin.
There are a few different ways to do the procedure, based on the specific device used:
Diamond-tip handpiece
A diamond-tip handpiece is designed to gently exfoliate dead cells in your skin. At the same time, it will suction them off immediately.
The depth of the abrasion may be affected by the pressure applied on the handpiece as well as how long the suction is allowed to remain on the skin. This type of microdermabrasion applicator is generally used in more sensitive facial areas, like close to the eyes.
Crystal microdermabrasion
Crystal microdermabrasion uses a crystal-emitting handpiece to gently spray on fine crystals to rub away outer layers of the skin. Like the diamond-tip handpiece, dead skin cells are suctioned off right away.
The different types of crystals that may be used include aluminum oxide and sodium bicarbonate.
What to expect after microdermabrasion?
There is little to no downtime after microdermabrasion. You should be able to resume your daily activities immediately.
Keep your skin hydrated and use gentle skin care products. Avoid using topical acne medications for at least one day after treatment. It’s extremely important to protect your skin with sunscreen. Your skin can be more sensitive to the sun in the few weeks after the treatment.
You can expect to see noticeable results immediately after the procedure. The number of microdermabrasion sessions needed will depend on the severity of your skin concerns as well as your expectations.
I will likely design a plan for the initial number of sessions, as well as periodic maintenance treatments.
OXYGEN FACIAL
Your cells need oxygen to stay healthy and nourished. The oxygen facial delivers oxygen to the deepest layers of your skin and makes it glow. Here are some of its benefits:
-
1. Boosts Collagen Production
-
Collagen is the protein that makes the cells stick together, providing strength and elasticity to your skin. When the collagen weakens (with age), wrinkles appear.
-
One of the biggest benefits of oxygen facial is the collagen boost it gives to your skin, making it firm and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
-
2. Detoxifies the Skin
-
The oxygen facial helps the skin utilize the oxygen and the nutrients and vitamins infused in it. This boosts the detoxification process of your skin, negates the effects of pollution, sun exposure, and diet fluctuation, and helps in the repair and regeneration of the skin cells.
-
3. Speeds Up Cell Turnover
-
Our skin cells have a limited lifetime. They die, and new cells replace them. Oxygen is crucial for cell regeneration. It increases the rate at which new cells grow, which, in turn, helps in scar (from acne) healing. The oxygen facial gives an extra dose of oxygen to your skin cells, thus aiding faster cell turnover.
-
4. No Painful Side Effects
-
This process is exceptionally gentle on your skin and doesn’t cause any side effects, such as irritation, redness, swelling, stinging, and a burning sensation. It is suitable for people who have sensitive skin and those who want to avoid chemical beauty treatments.
-
5. Moisturizes Your Skin
-
Constant exposure to the sun, dust, and pollution robs your skin of its natural moisture content. This makes it extremely dry and lifeless. And if you have dry skin, these issues can make your skin worse. The oxygen facial deeply moisturizes your skin, restoring its pH balance and shielding it from sun damage.

TOP REMEDIES FOR ELIMINATING SUNSPOTS
Sunspots are dark parts of the skin that are caused by excessive exposure to UVA and UVB rays. While people with lighter skin tend to get sunspots more frequently, they can develop on anyone. Sunspots can develop in a variety of shapes and colors and can appear anywhere on your skin, though it’s most common to see them on the face and hands.
There are a variety of foods that can help diminish the appearance of sunspots, including:
Citrus. Orange and tomatoes are packed with vitamin C that is effective in repairing damaged tissues and skin cells while helping to protect against the sun’s harmful rays. Also, grapes, tomatoes, and watermelon contain lycopene that helps your skin from burning. Just keep in mind that these foods alone will not combat sunburn; sunscreen of at least SPF 30 should also be worn when spending prolonged amounts of time in the sun.
Green tea. High in antioxidants, green tea can help maintain the quality of your skin and slow the effects of aging.
Tuna. This food is chock full of omega-3 fatty acids that can help prevent sunspots and help the body repair damaged skin.
Green, leafy veggies. Eating green vegetables like broccoli, spinach, kale and collard greens can add a significant dose of vitamins B and E to your diet, as well as a good amount of fiber to contribute to healthy skin.
There are also some professional treatments that can get rid of sunspots, including:
Chemical peel. Performed at both spas and in a dermatologist’s office, a chemical peel is a process of applying a combination of acids to the targeted area (typically your face, in this case) to get rid of damaged layers of your skin. You may experience redness after this procedure, which will diminish after several days.
Laser skin resurfacing. This procedure uses a laser to remove the surface layers of the damaged skin, promoting the growth of healthier skin where the damaged skin once was.
Cryotherapy. This treatment involves applying liquid nitrogen to the damaged parts of your skin, which causes it to scab. These scabs will then fall off in about a week’s time and leave a clear spot in its place.
RF TREATMENTS - Radio Frequency Treatments
The principle of radio frequency, through the multi-polar circulating radio frequency heating, collagen will immediately contract, stimulate the dermis to secrete more new collagen to restore skin elasticity. Fills up wrinkles, restores skin elasticity and radiance, and makes skin look fair and smooth.
What is Radiofrequency Skin Tightening Treatment? (RF)
Based on the scientific term Radiofrequency (RF), radiofrequency treatment is a non-surgical means of “reshaping” the body and the face from beneath the superficial layer of the skin. This method uses sophisticated devices specifically designed to treat men and women’s most common skin aging problems like wrinkles, excess fatty tissues, or cellulite.
The method utilizes radiofrequency waves which is basically heat energy meant for tissue remodeling and production of elastin and new collagen.
Unlike invasive procedures which primarily affect the most superficial layers of the skin, the resulting heat of the radiofrequency skin tightening treatment works mainly on the deepest layer of the skin, the dermis, without affecting the upper layers that are above it such as the epidermis.
As heat is a stimulation that promotes contraction of the underlying tissues, especially at the dermis level, soft tissues found within that area of the body compress, realign, and even produce new collagen, a process that normally takes many months to complete.
With healthy new collagen present from the deepest level of the skin, exposing such soft tissues to further radiofrequency waves helps sculpt and tighten those tissues into a more youthful and elastic surface.
*BENEFITS* of Radiofrequency Skin Tightening (RF)
By now, you may already have an idea on how a radiofrequency skin tightening treatment works with regards to aging problems common to both men and women. But how exactly does anyone experiencing treatment via RF benefits from it?
1. RF Diminishes or Removes Cellulites
Given how women’s skin vary from men, part of their uniqueness to men is the affliction of cellulite being gender-selective to them --women are more prone to getting cellulite than men are. Cellulite is a skin issue commonly found around the buttocks and at the back of the thighs where we generally store our body fats.
Thanks to the radiofrequency skin tightening treatment, however, gone are those days when we have to suffer from the skin bulging problems caused by cellulite. With the adipose tissue and fats as the cause of cellulite, the heat coming from the RF treatment diminishes the bulging of excess fatty tissues.
2. Reduction of Body Fats with RF
Unlike cellulite which is skin-deep body fats and whose appearance is applicable only to women, general body fats happen to both men and women.
Looking at the anatomical level, both cellulite and general body fats have one thing in common – the problem lies with the fatty tissues from beneath the skin’s superficial and lower layers.
Luckily, the radiofrequency skin tightening is also said to address the issue of excessive body fats among us regardless of age. The resulting heat mechanism of the RF treatment causes some body fats to melt and be drained into the system thereby producing a result at par or equal to surgical means of losing body fats.
3. Tightening of the Skin with RF
Partly what makes skin wrinkles so obvious sometimes are the clear lines that are creased over an elderly person’s skin often as a natural result of the aging process throughout the years.
Others whose skin problems are not limited to wrinkles simply have excessively lumpy and stretched skin, possibly as a result of sudden change in weight.
However, as the quality of the skin that we see from the outside can be changed through some alterations from the inside, doing so with an RF treatment is most possible thanks to the method’s non-surgical approach.
By applying radiofrequency skin tightening, deep-seated soft tissues from under the skin are stimulated which facilitates healing through the production of new collagen tissues that are reactive towards the RF waves.
When applied to the face, the radiofrequency skin tightening facial benefits those who may be experiencing some sagging on the skin of the face, among other common aging issues.
4. Post-operative Liposuction Smoothing with RF
Not all who go through the process of liposuction always have a 100% smooth finish to the affected area. Others who did not end up as so notice bumps on the area where body fats are surgically removed, often a not-so-pretty sight in comparison to well-toned and proportional skin tissues, muscles, and some fats.
Although there are existing measures that address this issue among post-operative liposuction patients, radiofrequency skin tightening can also be employed for a bout of non-surgical treatment for the issue of bulging and sagging skin.
5. RF Contour Reshaping
Just as when we think that shaping our bodies always require intensive work or surgery, radiofrequency skin tightening allows the reshaping of our bodies using a technology that works beneath the skin surface while leaving the superficial layers untouched.
Aside from cellulite treatment, removal of unwanted body fats, tightening of the skin, and its smoothing from the liposuction procedure, radiofrequency skin tightening sessions facilitate reshaping of our body.
Through the procedure referred to as body contouring, users can see effective re-contouring of skin after the patient has gone through a lot of weight loss.
As a treatment applicable to most commonly looked parts of the body such as the face, radio frequency facial treatment benefits people who want a little bit of modification to the face for improvements.
*RISKS* of Radiofrequency Skin Tightening (RF)
While the discovery of the Radiofrequency treatment is one of the best things to happen for the skincare industry, it is not perfect. In fact, the treatment itself has its own risks which may be experienced by some clients who undergo this type of medical procedure.
1. Radiofrequency Skin Tightening Treatment (RF) has Minor Side Effects
The radiofrequency skin tightening treatment may be phenomenal for its ability to do its work without causing much harm on the process, but going through the treatment is not necessarily 100% risk-free.
Common Side Effects of Radiofrequency Skin Tightening Include:
-
redness on the skin
-
mild swelling
-
oversensitivity of treated area
-
and sinking
Others may even experience blistering and bruising as a side-effect with the treatment.
As no two individuals are alike, with the exception of twins, how one experience symptoms of RF treatment’s side effects vary. Moreover, experts advise patients who are to go to the radiofrequency skin tightening treatment to not use topical solutions on their skin to lessen the chances of side-effects.
2. Radiofrequency Treatment (RF) has Radiation
Although generally designed to be beneficial than harmful to man for under-the-skin treatments, radiofrequency by its nature emits radiation. While experts say that this level of radiation does not really cause harm, some people may still be sensitive.
Those who do, however, experience bouts of pain that at times require sedation just to go through the process. Doctors say this is a common radiofrequency skin tightening risk.
However, the more pressing issue with the Thermage treatment is in its unpredictability to produce a radiofrequency skin tightening good result.
3. Some Radiofrequency Skin Tightening (RF) Only Works for a Small Percentage of Patients
Pointing to the same method as Thermage, some experts agree that the method itself is not very good for its intended purpose of making skin tighter.
Unpredictability in producing good results aside, the radio frequency benefits and treatment simply do not work for some. If they do, they simply are not good enough for many as far as tightening the skin is concerned.
Radiofrequency treatment may be a convenient way of addressing some of our common aging problems attributed to skin because of its ability to produce results without the harms seen on its invasive counterparts. But the radiofrequency skin tightening treatment is not without its own cons as already mentioned.
Less serious or otherwise, the radiofrequency skin tightening treatment produces side-effects whose occurrence varies from person to person but can be prevented and even easily mediated with proper precautions to its approach.
What to do about small RF side effects:
You can expect, however, is that you get small side effects and radio frequency tightening risks from the procedure no matter how great your skin is responding to the treatment. This means that you will get redness, swelling and oversensitivity.
Your dermatologist should be able to show you how to counteract these or how to avoid making these side effects worse.
Radiofrequency skin tightening can be very effective especially if you have the money to get continuous treatment. Most of the time, you won’t be able to see results until a few sessions.
Not being able to keep up with appointments also means that you have to go back to the condition of your skin before your previous treatment--meaning your dermatologist doesn’t get to work with improved skin.
At the end of the day, radiofrequency skin tightening treatment dangers are minimal at best. The benefits of radiofrequency treatment are real and all we simply advise is a healthy bit of caution.

Hydra dermabrasion
-
Hydra dermabrasion is a newer method. It involves combining simultaneous dermal infusion of products and crystal-free exfoliation. The entire process stimulates collagen production and maximizes blood flow to your skin.
-
Side effects of microdermabrasion
-
Common side effects of microdermabrasion include mild tenderness, swelling, and redness. These generally go away within a few hours after treatment.
-
You might be advised to use a moisturizer to minimize dry and flaky skin. Minor bruising may also occur. This is mostly caused by the suction process during the treatment.

If you have been considering a chemical peel or laser treatment to renew your facial skin but are worried about redness and discomfort, you have another option. The HydraFacial is a non-invasive, non-laser skin resurfacing procedure that can be used to target dark spots, wrinkles, fine lines, and clogged pores. The technique thoroughly cares for your skin by providing cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and hydration in one gentle process. The procedure includes a Vortex-Fusion of antioxidants, peptides, and Hyaluronic Acid for an added boost.
The HydraFacial is suitable for all skin types and is the best facial procedure for sensitive skin. It is non-surgical, delivering instant results with no redness, discomfort, or downtime. Skin is left smoother and more beautiful with results immediately noticeable.
4 Steps to Rejuvenated Skin
The HydraFacial is a 30–40-minute procedure that consists of 4 steps: Cleansing, Exfoliating, Extraction, and Hydration. The process resurfaces your skin, delivering a mini-massage and bathing it with soothing and moisturizing treatments that deliver instant results.
Cleansing is done to loosen makeup, dead skin cells, and other debris that is dulling your skin.
A light chemical peel is used to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells. This glycolic/salicylic acid peel is very gentle and does not cause any discomfort or redness.
The technician performs a combination of manual and “vacuum” extractions. Using a Vortex-Extraction nozzle, we can gently and effectively perform a deep cleaning of your pores.
The final step soothes and smoothest your skin, infusing it with an antioxidant and collagen rich serum that promotes elasticity and hydration.
While a one-time HydraFacial treatment can create a glow for special occasions, for best results we recommend a repeat of the procedure every 3 to 4 weeks, depending on skin concerns. Long-term treatment improves the overall quality of your skin, making it healthier.

Odds are you’ve heard of the term skin care, but there’s way more to healthy skin than what’s on the surface. Just like overall wellness, skin health isn’t determined by just one or two factors – it’s the combination of things you do every day, from what you put on your skin to what you put in your body.

HydraFacial and CTGFTM Booster
The face is subject to the most skincare stress. It is always exposed to wind, sun, rain, pollution and here in Florida, saltwater. Added to those stressors are typical skincare issues like acne, scarring, and, as we get older, fine lines and wrinkles. It’s tough to keep our faces looking fresh when they are subject to a daily onslaught from our environment and our genes.
The HydraFacial® is one of the best treatments on the market for gentle skincare restoration. It’s non-invasive, does not use lasers, and provides cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration all in one.
Boosters like Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF™) can be added to the HydraFacial® to target specific problem areas or concerns. The CTGF™ booster is particularly beneficial for targeting fine lines and wrinkles.
Natural Growth Factors Support Skin Renewal
CTGF™ is comprised of naturally occurring growth factors which actually renew the skin from the inside out. While the HydraFacial is clearing away dead skin cells and debris, the CTGF™ booster is infusing the newly uncovered skin with growth factors that target fine lines and wrinkles to minimize their appearance and restore skin to a more youthful-looking state.
Since CTGF™ uses growth factors, they keep working even after the initial treatment has ended. Once applied to the skin, CTGF™ binds to the skin, restoring and renewing skin for improved appearance and texture. The end result is a more youthful, fresher, radiant, and even complexion.

About Chemical Peels
At Dermalogica Pro Power Peels, are highly trained and offer the best chemical peels and facials in Boca Raton. If you are looking for the best personalized day spa experience in Boca Raton schedule an appointment with Bella Cosmetology Studio!
Unfortunately, the older we get the older we look. That’s just the way it goes. Chemical peels have the ability to make the skin look and feel younger by eliminating layers of dead skin. After we turn 24 years of age our skin starts to slow down as far as how it exfoliates itself. Therefore, it is up to us to move the dead skin along so that our skin can look refreshed.
A Chemical peel can make a world of difference on the skin, but it needs to be the correct chemical peel. We have over 10 different peels to choose from and can decide at the time of the treatment what the best peel would be after we examine and get to know your skin. When it comes to a chemical peel, we cannot stress the importance of coming in so that we can really take the time to understand your skin. By studying your skin and spending a few minutes discussing allergies and or any other concerns, our trained aestheticians will be able to specialize a chemical peel that fits your skin and needs. It’s impossible to achieve this by a phone call or email, for that we stress the importance of making an appointment for a chemical peel and coming in so that we can dedicate time to get to know you and your skin.
If you can tell us what results you are looking for, we will make sure we do all in our power to achieve this in the safest way possible with the acquired knowledge of your skin. Our method with chemical peels is that we start at a lower, less invasive peel depending on what kind of treatments you have experienced in the past. This will ensure not upsetting the skin, you can go in and get an extreme peel at your dermatologist office but what will your skin look like after? Think of it as a workout for your skin. If you have never worked out before and go to the gym and do a work out, you will probably end up injuring yourself. Slow and steady winds the race yet you will still see the results after your treatment. Last but not least, clients that physically peel more than others do not necessarily get a deeper or more beneficial peel. Peeling can be a sign of dehydration. Make sure to hydrate yourself and your skin when undergoing these treatments. To get the absolute best results you should do 3-6 treatments every 10-14 day.
HOW LONG DO CHEMICAL PEELS LAST?
Deep chemical peels: The new layer of skin begins to appear seven to ten days after treatment, though complete healing can take two months or longer. Patients typically take a week off from work after undergoing a deep chemical peel.

The treatment process typically takes about 30 minutes and there is no required downtime afterwards. However, patients are advised to avoid sun exposure in the time following. As the damaged and dead skin tissue continues to be removed, you can notice visible results for a refreshed and healthy complexion. Results from chemical peels can last up to 6 months, and multiple treatments a few months apart are suggested to maintain your skin’s health and appearance. Top 3 Must-Follow Summer Skincare Tips
When the sun is scorching you know there’s a whole routine you’re required to take into consideration when it comes to your skin. Warmer weathers usually bring oily skin, sunburns and dry patches. So, with that being said, changing your skincare routine is absolutely crucial.
You don’t need a complete overhaul, just a few simple changes in your daily routine can help you beat the heat this summer season.
1. Always wear sunscreen
Most of us know the importance of wearing sunscreen in the summer months to avoid sunburn and damage, but it really should be a year-round preventive health measure. Many tend to forget to apply or do not recognise the various benefits it contains. The application of sunscreen helps prevent sunburns, premature aging and reduces the risk of skin cancer and skin reactions.
2. Exfoliate dry skin
An extremely crucial step in your skincare regimen is exfoliating. The benefits of exfoliating your skin may not be instant but is an indispensable routine over time. Skin can become dry and flaky during the summer months, especially after long hours in the sun. It’s always a good idea to exfoliate on a regular basis to keep your skin soft and smooth. It’s as easy as applying a sugar scrub on your dry skin prior to taking a shower.
Alternatively, you can use it in the shower after cleansing for a natural exfoliation and moisturising treatment. Sugar scrubs are the easiest to purchase as it’s available in every beauty and skincare store or you can make your own at home with the below recipe:
· 1 cup granulated sugar, either white or brown, preferably organic
· ½ cup oil (olive oil and coconut oil work great)
· essential oils of your preference (optional)
· 1 small wide-mouth glass mason jar
3. Moisturise
After you have exfoliated your body and removed any excess dry skin, the next most important step is to moisturise, moisturise and moisturise. If you remember to do so regularly your skin will thank you with the extra nutrition and benefits you’ve unknowingly contributed. It can become tough in summer to constantly moisturise especially if you do not find the product for your skin. However, finding the right lotion to keep your skin protected, alongside an SPF will do wonders for you and prevent itching and dry flaky skin. Moisturisers offer an extra barrier and an extra boost of antioxidants which will nourish your skin after exposure to hot temperatures.
Feel Good Friday Routine: Massage and Facial
The end of the week seems like the perfect time to engage in some special, me alone time. After a week of hard work and completing chores, when Friday finally comes, it seems right to indulge in a pampering program comprising of a massage, facial and manicure. And while you can try to do them yourself, at home, going to a spa will help you feel even more relaxed. That’s because, at a spa, your only job is to unwind and relax.
Pampering Day
The ultimate purpose of a body massage is relaxation. Aside from that, it increases blood circulation, which is associated with various health benefits. That is not all; body massages are also known to decrease the severity of back pain, which is quite common, as most people deal with it on a regular basis. These are only some of the reasons why you should consider including a massage in your daily routine.
In the meantime, a facial, similar to a typical body massage, also promotes excellent blood circulation. It also has a de-puffing effect, potentially slowing down the premature aging process. Another major benefit is that of cell renewal. Did you know that stress is a major contributor to premature aging? This is what makes massages so popular, as they allow you to relax, which is really important in this day and age.
In the meantime, a manicure is the definition of pampering and indulgence, which is what makes it perfect for a Friday evening at the spa.
Get ready for Summer with these top 5 beauty tips!
In Florida Summer is officially here! Before you start planning beach trips and eternally bathing in the sunshine, it’s important to set a few guidelines to maintain healthy and radiant skin. The summer heat can have an extremely negative impact on your skin, leading to dark spots, pigmentation and wrinkles. We have our top 10 summer tips to enjoy the heat without compromising the quality of your skin.
Slip, slop, slap
1. Don’t step out of the house without wearing sunscreen and sun protective gear (ironically, the more covered you are the better, think sunglasses, hat, and even an umbrella!). Sun rays cause everlasting skin issues such as dry skin, brown spots and fine lines. If you can, avoid the sun between 12-4pm.
Moisturizer is essential.
2. Many people assume that as the warmer months come around you should cut down on moisturising your skin. It is in fact the opposite. Continue to slather on moisturizer but change the intensity of the cream. Applying a light moisturizer with SPF protects your skin from environmental aggressors like pollution, bacteria and dry skin.
Exfoliate regularly!
3. Exfoliation is vital to skins health. A gentle exfoliation two to three times a week can unclog blocked pores, reduce fine lines and fades dark spots. Simply add coffee, sugar or tea extract to your cleanser and rub in a circular motion. The removal of dead skin cells helps the renew new glowing skin.
Aloe Vera is your new best friend!
4. Known as an anti-inflammatory that also substitutes as a moisturizer. Applying aloe vera after sun exposure will calm and soothe your skin. The antioxidants will help the repair damaged skin and prevent free radicals. Aloe vera gel and lotion rehydrates and calms your skin, helping to undo past damage as it prevents future issues.
Stay hydrated!
5. During the heat, we must cool down and regulate our body temperature. Through sweating and evaporation, it is essential to stay hydrated as water helps to replenish the fluids lost by excessive sweating. Dehydration during summer can cause headaches, removes toxins which will keep skin glowing and clear.
Oxygen 02ToDerm Oxygen Dome Therapy ( Dome Mask )
The O2toDerm hyperbaric anion oxygen system is an essential tool for clean, revitalized skin. The top layer of our skin, or epidermis, functions as a barrier to many things that can harm us, but in the process, it also suffers the detrimental impacts of environmental pollutants. In an industrial age consumed by rampant air pollution, stress, constant technology use, and less than perfectly healthy diets, our skin is especially prone to premature aging, inflammation, and other conditions. That’s where O2toDerm comes in. This revolutionary system features both an oxygen dome and an oxygen infusion gun to re-energize skin cells and turn back the clock on aging as it permeates much-needed purified oxygen and vitamins into your skin. It is essential for absolutely anyone looking to get brighter, clearer, and healthier skin. This treatment can be done as regularly as desired, and may combined with any facial or used solo.
90% Oxygen Dome
The oxygen dome is a simple-to-use yet incredibly advanced tool that simply goes over your face, completely covering it from all sides, and works its magic. Purified oxygen, or negative ions are comfortably infused into the skin, boosting the various benefits of any products applied to the skin during a facial. The machine works by sucking in air from the immediate environment, separating out the nitrogen, and pumping 90% oxygen through the dome to be absorbed by your skin. Not only is your skin receiving the benefits of pure oxygen, but your body is too as you breathe it in. This revitalizes your skin because every day in our environments, we are bombarded an excess of positive ions that wear down our skin. These cations cause tiredness, fine lines, and wrinkles, which negative ions from the oxygen dome directly combat. Negative ions are effectively used to clean the air of allergens, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, and more, and work the very same way on our skin by removing harmful pollutants. They fight against free radicals that harm our skin as well as replace damaged skin cells, which helps balance skin pH. As a result, acne-causing bacteria are destroyed, collagen production is stimulated, nutrient intake is supported, and the tone and texture of the skin is significantly improved. It is a comfortable, easy, and fast treatment that effectively refreshes and reinvigorates all skin types.
Oxygen Infusion Therapy
The oxygen gun is an incredibly convenient tool that infuses a mist of concentrated oxygen and anions along with customized serums into the skin all at once. It has the same benefits as the oxygen dome, yet it is especially perfect for permeating specific nutrients and vitamins into the skin via serums. Oxygen, known as the all-natural anti-aging molecule, when combined with serums, purifies, hydrates, and brightens the face. By re-energizing worn out cells, your skin will automatically appear plumper and more youthful. This handpiece allows for direct control of where the mist is concentrated, and allows for a closer, more intense infusion into the skin.
Bubble masks are essentially cleansing masks that clean all the dirt and impurities from your face. What makes a bubble mask different from other masks is that it uses a special oxygenation process for clearing your skin. That’s why you get those foamy clouds on your face when you apply it. It is somewhat similar to getting an oxygen facial. In oxygen facial, the esthetician pumps antioxidants right into your skin. The bubble mask is just an easier and affordable DIY version of the oxygen facial.
Wondering how it works?
A bubble mask contains perfluorocarbons that help dissolve oxygen (just the way water dissolves carbon dioxide to make bubbly soda water). Oxygen is pumped into the sheet mask or product under pressure. The mask is then sealed inside a pressurized package.
Once you take the mask out and press it with your fingers right on your skin, you will see the pressurized oxygen forming bubbles. A bubble mask also contains foaming ingredients.
It is available as a sheet mask or cream, depending on the brand, and contains a wide range of ingredients – from collagen supplements to activated charcoal. But is this just a skin care fad or does it serve any purpose? Let’s find out.
-
A bubble mask is a safe and gentle way to cleanse and exfoliate your face. It gently scrubs your face, cleans your pores, and removes makeup and oil. All you need to do is follow the instructions written on the package. It will help:
-
Unclog your skin pores
-
Remove and clear excess sebum and oil
-
Improve acne
-
Clear blackheads
A bubble mask also has moisturizing properties that leave your skin hydrated, refreshed, and nourished. It gives a youthful glow to your skin (with regular use) and softens the skin eventually and makes it smooth.
If you think your skin is dull and looks lifeless, you need to try this.
Mesotherapy Treatment
Mesotherapy is a non-invasive non-surgical technique that uses micro-injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic preparations, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into subcutaneous fat. Mesotherapy injections allegedly target adipose fat cells, apparently by inducing lipolysis, rupture and cell death among adipocytes.
Facial mesotherapy is a type of beauty treatment that utilizes injectable nutrients to rejuvenate skin over a course of several treatments.
What is mesotherapy treatment?
Mesotherapy treatment can be used for face, neck and under eye rejuvenation and also for common concerns such as hair thinning. Mesotherapy treatments involve injecting Hyaluronic Acid directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin). This nourishes and rejuvenates the skin by promoting the production of collagen and elastin...
How do you treat facial mesotherapy?
The Simple Facial Mesotherapy treatment involves the non-invasive transdermal injection of a Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin, Enzyme and Amino Acid rich solution into the skin to keep skin cells well-hydrated and nourished and to restore the skin’s radiance and plumpness.
What are the benefits of Mesotherapy?
Benefits of Mesotherapy treatment. Overall skin rejuvenation. Increases the firmness and elasticity of the skin. Improvement in the skin’s complexion and radiance. Prevention of wrinkles and rejuvenates and revives dull, tired looking skin.

What do microcurrent facials do for the skin?
Microcurrent facials tighten and smooth the muscles and connective tissues in the face by increasing cellular activity, and have been shown to reduce wrinkles, mostly around the forehead area.
ULTRASOUND THERAPY
The results of this technology derives from the stimulation of collagen in a natural way. This treatment can be done at any time of the year. It acts on deep layers of the skin without any damage to the superficial layers. The main advantage of this technique is that ultrasound reaches the optimal heating temperature of the skin, which stimulates the production of new collagen fibers. This treatment is completely safe, as it uses sound waves to naturally penetrate healthy nutrients and other ingredients into the skin without causing any pain or discomfort, all while leaving skin cleaned, toned, and brightened.

RF Treatment
This technologically advanced system combines the endless benefits of radiofrequency skin tightening and microcurrent lifting to redefine anti-aging or preventative facials. The Biolure is a light, mobile unit featuring both radiofrequency with LED light and microcurrent handpieces, a touchscreen interface, and a simple to use protocol.
Radiofrequency therapy is perfect for non-surgical skin tightening of loose or sagging skin, while microcurrent uses currents to tone and lift, and is often referred to as a workout for your face. Both treatments stimulate collagen production, elastin production, and increase blood flow for healthier skin.
The Science Behind Radiofrequency
As we get older, our bodies produce less and less collagen, a protein essential for keeping the skin firm. This is why our skin tends to become thinner and looser with age. While keeping the surface of your skin cool and comfortable, the radiofrequency energy heats the layer of the skin under the epidermis, called the dermis up to 42 degrees Celsius. The body reacts to this heat influx as if it were an injury, and therefore triggers collagen production to repair it. Collagen is such an important part of facial rejuvenation treatments because it is the driving force behind your skin becoming firmer, smoother, thicker, and more youthful. Radiofrequency therapy has been clinically proven over numerous research studies to cause an increase in newly synthesized collagen.
HOW DOES RADIOFREQUENCY TIGHTEN SKIN?
This handpiece uses four electrodes to tighten the skin. Radiofrequency therapy uses currents similar to the ones found naturally in our body’s electrical circuits to cause tissues to contract, which in turn safely tighten skin and increase its contour. Powered by an algorithm, three electrodes constantly switch between serving as the grounding/active/inactive electrode. This randomization and continuous switching of electrode pairing allows for the skin to be treated more evenly all around.
When the body creates resistance to the currents, heat is generated, which strengthens and refines the underlying tissues. Because of the ability of radiofrequency to reach the dermal layer of the skin, the facial skin is made firmer while existing collagen fibers are strengthened and the production of new collagen proteins are stimulated. Since the time for new cell turnover is 28 days, radiofrequency treatments can be repeated regularly to achieve cumulative effects. This non-invasive treatment includes absolutely no downtime, pain, or discomfort, and does wonders to erase signs of aging that have accumulated over the years or simply work preventatively to minimize the formation of wrinkles and fine lines.

Fill the spray container with either water or your favorite serum to ensure you do not have to keep wetting the skin during an exfoliating session.
The Gloss features a built-in blue LED light as well, which helps control inflammation and treat acne while preventing the formation of new acne simultaneously. Say hello to cleaner, smoother, and more radiant skin today.
The Science Behind it All
The entire skin renewal cycle takes anywhere from 30 to 75 days. How quickly this process occurs, however, completely depends on your age, skin type, lifestyle, the products you use, and even where you live. However, as we get older, this cycle occurs less frequently, allowing a greater build-up of old cells to remain on the surface of the skin. This build-up can leave you with rough and dull-looking skin, which is where the Gloss Skin Scrubber comes in. Oxylune Hydrodermabrasion and Oxygen
The Oxylune is a new advanced system combining hydro dermabrasion and oxygen infusion therapy for the perfect, balanced facial. Its technology allows providers to infuse a synergy of both treatments into the skin to both clean and rejuvenate the face.
This equipment revitalizes skin in two steps:
1. Exfoliation by Hydrodermabrasion
2. Infusion of serums for skin brightening by Oxygen Infusion
WHAT IS HYDRODERMABRASION?
Hydrodermabrasion is the latest in skincare and an alternative to microdermabrasion without the use of crystals or diamond tips to abrade the skin. Instead, it combines the natural benefits of oxygen and water to shoot a pressurized stream of saline solution onto the skin. The high velocity of this procedure effectively removes dead skin cells at first contact, exfoliating and soothing the skin at the same time. This technology is incredibly similar to that of the Hydrafacial brand.
Hydrodermabrasion in general hydrates, cleanses, and revitalizes skin while supporting healthy blood circulation. Better circulation, in turn, promotes the production of collagen and elastin fibers that tighten the skin and promote a youthful look. Now, you can receive all the benefits of microdermabrasion without any of the irritatable side effects!
BENEFITS OF HYDRODERMABRASION:
Benefits sensitive skin that cannot undergo other forms of microdermabrasion
-
Decreases visibility of scarring and dark shadows
-
Improves blood circulation
-
Supports collagen and elastin production

WHAT IS OXYGEN INFUSION?
Oxygen infusion therapy is a protocol that infuses the skin with an all-natural anti-aging molecule: pure oxygen. This re-energizes tired cells in the skin to recover their splendor and youth. As a result, the skin appears more plump, hydrated, and also regains its brightness and clarity. Oxygen therapy is most ideal after an exfoliating treatment like Hydro dermabrasion so the skin can properly absorb serums. This technique is one of the most demanded in skincare today.
By using serums in the handpiece rather than distilled water, providers are able to penetrate specific formulas into the skin based on an individual's specific needs. This allows for pores to absorb a variety of essential vitamins or natural ingredients that increase the radiance and hydration of the skin as well as provide many other benefits to skin health.
Aqualina Skin Care offers a variety of products compatible with this system, including formulas designed for combatting visible signs of aging, brightening skin, treating and preventing acne, and detoxifying the skin of harmful free radicals and pollution.

-
Purifies the face
-
Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
-

Image Shape Electrical Muscle Stimulation
The Image Shape EMS system is a revolutionary technology for effective body contouring, muscle toning, and skin tightening. This advanced touchscreen equipment is perfect for achieving the desired results patients seek.
ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION
EMS works to refine and tone muscles almost all over the body. It enhances muscle strength and endurance while aiding in the breakdown of fat, making this non-invasive body treatment a highly demanded one.
Meanwhile, cupping therapy serves its own unique purpose- to stimulate blood circulation, thus unblocking energy channels and breaking down fat cells. One of the biggest benefits of cupping therapy is its ability to effectively stimulate lymphatic drainage. This is an essential part of many body slimming treatments, as it serves to flush excess water and toxins out of the body. Plus, it is great for enhancing buttocks and promoting healthy weight loss.
This procedure non-invasively increases heart rate, skin temperature, and metabolic rate, which helps the body use more energy to remove fat. By triggering the body’s natural fat burning and muscle toning processes, weight loss is a very achievable result with electrical muscle stimulation. Enhancing muscle strength and endurance while aiding in the breakdown of fat, electrical muscle stimulation is a next-generation technology that has been loved in every field- from medicine to beauty.

4 Facial Massage Techniques to Rejuvenate Your Skin
Massage is a special form of touch that works specifically to increase blood flow to muscles, easing away toxins, and releasing tension. Massage stimulates this natural occurrence, and the outcome is an increase in cell reproduction.
With facial massage I uses some lubricating ingredients to use on your skin in order to prevent scratches and possible tearing of the skin.
First, I to start with a base, or carrier oil. It's amazing how different ingredients can help you target very specific problems. Depending on what type of skin you have or what effect you want to achieve, the carrier oil could be any one of the following:
Apricot Kernel Oil: Light and nourishing, and excellent for dry or mature skin (over age 35)
Camellia Oil: The most versatile and can be used for any skin type.
Grape Seed Oil: Non greasy and does a terrific job of prepping the skin for massage.
Jojoba Oil: A golden, liquid wax, and another type suitable for most skin.
Sweet Almond Oil: Nourishes dry and damaged skin. Not one for allergy-prone individuals.
Then I add one or more essential oils:
Geranium: Balances and hydrates oily and combination skin types.
Grapefruit: Tones and detoxifies all skin types.
Lavender: Tones combination, oily and acne-prone skin. Also good for sensitive skin.
Orange blossom: Hydrates and nourishes dry, mature and sun-damaged skin.
Rose: Cools and soothes minor irritations and is good for all skin types.
Rosewood: Soothes and nourishes dry and mature skin.
Sandalwood: Cools and hydrates dry and mature skins.
Tea tree: Cleans and disinfects all skin types but is especially beneficially to skin prone to breakouts and blackheads.
I use 1 teaspoon of carrier oil, such as apricot kernel, to lubricate the skin. No essential oil is necessary, but I prefer, add one or two drops of your essential oil of choice.
A Note About Safety
Essential oils are used in very weak dilutions on the face, so that blends are safe for most skin types. Do not expose your skin to direct sunlight for at least twelve hours after applying any blends contain citrus oils. Store your oil mixture in a cool, dark place, up to six months at room temperature, and up to one year when refrigerated.
Also note that in with these facial massage techniques, you need to get used to targeting small muscles and using precise movements to get the best results.
The Facial Massage Techniques
1. Stroking Up from The Chin
Start with hands on either side of your face; with your palms and fingertips, stroke slowly up the sides of the face and up to the forehead, then glide back down again lightly. Keep the pressure constant but not firm. Repeat three times. The emphasis in this movement is pressure up the face, and then easing off.
2. Stroking Out Over the Forehead
Place your fingertips together in the middle of your forehead, press firmly, and glide out to the sides. Lift the fingers off, returning to the startig position. Repeat three times. This movement smooths out the forehead.
3. Stroking Around the Eyes
Using only a minimal amount of oil to ease the movement, place your fingertips at the sides of your eyes and s troke around the bony edge of the eye socket. Work up over the eyebrows, down the center of the nose, under the eyes, and back to the starting position. Repeat three times. This movement helps to improve eyestrain and the oil lubricates the skin in the orbital eye area.
4. Stroking Under the Cheekbones
Starting close to the nose, with your hands on the inner side of each cheek, make small circular pressure motions all the way out toward your ears. Give special attention to the area just under the ear (the location of the temporo-mandibular joint), then massage back toward the nose. Repeat this sequence three times. This movement tones the cheek muscles, which work very hard making facial expressions every day.
Tips
I Cleanse your face first; I remove any traces of makeup.
For best results, perform this simple massage routine every day, skipping one day per week for rest.
After massage, I use any oil you have left and work it into your skin for added conditioning and nourishing benefits.
